Sustainable Art

Thinking into the future about how being an artist can play a role. We have to make sure to create with respect and not use resources without forethought. This is why when deciding upon packaging and materials, the planet came first. As it always should.

For our paintings we promise that we use non-toxic paints for all our works sourced from Natural Earth Paint. Making sure that our works are not damaging the planet from any part of the process.

Our frames are sourced locally with help from the wonderful Adrian who has been working in Cornwall for the past 60 years. Being built from locally Cornish Southern Beech from Tavistock forest that is naturally fallen by storm or age, which is dried for around 5 years.

The wood is is then passed to our in-house Master Craftsman, Ryan. It is here in his studio that he works the wood and cuts the frames to size and creates bespoke painting frames.

For our canvases we are currently upcycling, or sourcing organic cotton UK-based suppliers to make sure every element of our canvas is originating from non-toxic, fairtrade sources.
