RangerLab

Wildlife rangers protect the lands, the forests, the waters and the skies from increasing pressures of humankind. Whether it's combating poaching, tackling deforestation, or addressing community pressures, they stand as the ultimate barrier safeguarding delicate ecosystems from the strong grasp of humankind. They work day and night, all year round, to make sure our planet stays healthy. Nearly 50% of wildlife rangers lack the basic tools, support or equipment to do their jobs effectively.RangerLab equip and empower teams on the ground with decent equipment and continued support that aid their performance in the field, whilst maintaining dignity and boosting morale.

Lamb’s Contribution

Lamb supports RangerLab’s mission and goal to create a better working world for wildlife rangers, as contributing artist and Trustee.

There is always a very real need to keep costs low and donations high in the world of conservation. This was ever-present and the catalyst to creating this project, finished November, 2023.

‘When we found out that we had received the generous billboard campaign offer from Ocean Outdoor, it became an immediate creative burden to work out how on Earth we were going to put something authentic, brave and impactful up on screen. Step forward Emily Lamb. Emily grasped the opportunity with both hands, shaping portraits of faces of beneficiary wildlife rangers in the field. The intricate brushstrokes contrasted beautifully with the bold facial structures, and the emotion oozes out of the screen in locations far away from the field. The opportunity to put faces of those brave rangers on screen gives a new dimension to the communication of what RangerLab is. We want to champion those forgotten faces into a new age of celebration and respect. We feel so privileged to have the support of Emily, her work shines through as boldly as love, and it marks a special moment in our journey. I wanted to thank her personally, for her support for the last four years has proven her to be an incredible instigator of change. This exhibit is testament to just that.’ Lew Bedford, RangerLab Founder
