Mother

This piece of art (4.8m x 2.2m, Oil on Canvas) is now hanging in the Londolozi Founders Camp. “Mother”  is a celebration of all that is wild, a gratitude to the earth, who is mother to us all.

Inspired always by the scope of potential to paint stories of the Wild, I was presented in the time of lockdown with the opportunity to commit to a painting that has been brewing in my mind's eye, and born from the sweet rebellion of a world crippled by vanishing wild spaces. We are blessed with infinite creative potential and clues from Nature to invent our own ways to live more sustainably with Mother Earth, and this was my time to stop and be still, and to step up and celebrate the majesty of Africa that I call home.

I was inspired to work alongside friend and artist, Boyd Varty and his creative venture to live in a treehouse in the wilds of Southern Africa for 40 days and 40 nights during which he produced a daily Podcast. I knew instantly that was my time frame. To work alongside my artisan friends and connect fully when physical disconnect is highest. So I visualised the painting and let go of an expectation. Just trusted she already existed.  I am grateful for the friendships. For the Animals that everyday show us grace, resilience and service. Grateful to Solitude. Grateful for Love.

Full credit to this video goes to Bronwyn Varty-Laburn for the vision to merge our journeys into artwork, and Richard Laburn for creating it. Thank you also to photographer (and husband) Matthew Armstrong-Ford for the photographs of the painting as I worked. Dedicated to Dan Lawrence for his belief in me when I was lost, and the countless hours he gifted me to find recovery and peace. Within A World

This 360-degree, 80ft panoramic painting is based on Lamb’s personal journey growing up within the world of conservation and art.

Within a World' is a wake up call to re-invent ourselves in nature and our relationships with all sentient beings on this planet. Lamb wanted to produce a piece of work that was going to inspire, be a positive contribution and celebration of the wild. Through bringing together a group of various friends and artists, and contacts that were made while travelling Africa and abroad, this piece was fed through their words and images and their collective the passion of the world. Running For Our Lives

Running for Our Lives is a powerful, moving tribute to Africa and its iconic apex predator, the lioness.

As Lamb put paint and charcoal to canvas, DSWF ambassador and English Mezzo-Soprano Laura Wright, brought her haunting composition and lyrics, co-written with John Haywood, to life. This piece shows that the true power of art can be harnessed through collaboration, community, and bold risk taking.

On the night, the piece went into a heated auction even as the paint dried. Cumulatively, the artwork and the painting sketches helped us raise thousands for the vital, frontline projects we support.

Sketch For Wildlife

In 2019 Lamb started a campaign that lasted the entire year, with 100% of proceeds going to fighting wildlife crime.

While diving head first into the philosophies of the true masculine and feminine in Nature, and consequently searching for the clues to where we lost our way as humans in the equilibrium of life and our place in wilderness, Lamb committed herself to the adventure of everyday creating a painting of wildlife for 30 minutes. Lamb was able to raise thousands for animals through a simple act of service everyday, and saying ‘yes’ to those people who needed artwork for fundraising and their missions to help animals. The community that was found became the greatest gift; a group of creative thinkers, philanthropists and animal lovers became the epicentre of purpose and conversation.
